  • Sacrificial Anodes?

Hey fellas. Tore my engine down and it doesn't have any of these anodes in it and my water passages are slightly corroded (even though I flushed after every trip). Do you all not put them in your engines? If not, then why?

    Thanks,

    Dave

We do try to make sure all the blocks have at least one that had one to begin with, often times cores will be missing one or more.

Slight corrosion is normal, even with a zinc annode, you will always have deterioration. The annodes don't protect against deposits, just electrolysis.

Most OEMs don't even use them in the first place, they aren't required for proper performance, just a nice extra if they are there.
