I have a 970cc engine that was built from a 787. It was built by me in 1997 and has competed in many racing events, winning quite a few of them along the way. I bought it back from the guy I built it for. It came back disassembled, but complete, including the hardware. This engine sold for $5500.00 when new.
The parts I got were,
1 OEM 4mm stroker Sea Doo racing crankshaft in good usuable condition.
1 OEM counterbalancer.
1 set of 787 cases, machined for the stroker crank and fully race ported by Mel Miller. Has RV shaft and gear installed in it.
2 big bore oem clyinders fully race ported to 1000R specs by Mel Miller, including two rave valves with housings.
2 used Honda pistons with wrist pins and bearings.
1 Miller billet racing twin plug 1000R 54cc head.
This engine just needs to be honed and put back together. It is a perfect engine for a 1995-1999 XP, SPX or GSX hull. It will make an x-4 hull go over 70 mph with the proper related parts. Unbelievable accelleration.
I want $1500.00 for it disassembled, or $2000.00 assembled.
( the clyinders alone are worth that much)
