  • Good deal?

I've never owned a PWC before but rode on many. I really like the Bombadier Sea Doos. I'm wanting one (or two) for playing around on lakes and rivers (fishing simple tricks that sort of thing).

Getting down to it, I'm located in Louisville, Ky and have talked to a guy that has had two seadoos fort he past year or so and hasn't done anything with them. When I talked to him he said that they were 1995 GTi's (two seaters). He said that he would sell them to me for $750 altogether w/trailer. Only one ran when he bought them and unless he has done something with the other one recently (rode it I mean) I doubt it runs too.

What do you think. Hull is intact and they both have motors but whether or not they run is another question.

    Re: Good deal?

GTI is a 3 seater , if there clean for the price for 2 is not bad , if you need a engine you could put a SBT shortblock in and have a nice ski cheep with a warranty . what you need to do is find out what they need and if they crank over what the compression is on the engines .

Well I might be wrong with the GTI thing, They were definitely two seaters when I saw them though. Anywho, thanks for the insight :emoticons.

        Re: Good deal?

Okay, here is the deal. They are two 1994 Seadoo XP's. One has the rotax 657 and the other has an afermarket deal that is blue and silver with the number 7500 and some letters I can't remember (like DEP) or something.

Anyways, the engine has never been used because it's installation was never finished by a guy that just pretty much skipped town on the owner. They both have been sitting for about three years so I doubt either of them run right now.

Anyways, I got the two of them for $500 dollars. He also gave me a brand new shop manual for it and we are going to tranfer titles tomorrow (he had to fix the flats in the trailer :) I'll do a better job once I get them home).

So thanks guys for the advice (well the one of you) And expect to be hearing from me more becuase this is my first set of PWC to work on.

How hard could they be? ;)

          Re: Good deal?

You did good. Worst thing could happen is you decide not to try to make them run and start listing parts on ebay. Then after you have sold more than $1000 worth of parts you use that money to buy a running starter ski.

Good luck and have some fun.

The second motor is a 657 with a West coast racing head...I have the same setup on the 91 I just purchased..
