Did V Force redesign their 951 Reed cage to make the pettles last longer? I've heard they are working on a new cage and if they are I'd like to go with V force on my SS XPL. IF Not, I'm thinking of going with RXX Remoldi Reeds, but I think they are hard to find pettles for. Any opinions Bill O.

Given the fact that your boat is a racing superstocker, I'd go with a Miller intake manifold, Delta V Force reeds, and some spare petals.
If it were an endurance boat or rec boat, I'd go with Rinaldi reeds, or aftermarket petals on oem cages with stuffers and a matching manifold from R&D products.
I put M-16's on the last SS XPL that I built. They worked well too.Bill O'Neal WCM

call up rossier engineering they have special pettles for the vforce 2 reed blocks, and accually they are made by carbon teck, i broke 4 center petels on mine and out then reeds and never had a problem and they don't show any cracking. they are the same price as stock replcments i think.

Matt and Hi Bill!
Yes, V Force III, watercraft will be the last production run after all the others are complete. I got this info last year from V-force unless they have changed thier plans. I then shelved them for for RXX cages and stock manifolds. I could not keep center pedles on my limited, but my big bore works fine with them (both use the Rossier Manifold and Spacers).
