This is the place to go, and yes you can beef it up a bit if you want to, but honestly you will be much better off just selling it, as it is ONLY designed tobe an entry-level ecconomy fun ski, not any kind of high-performance ski. I would personally recommend selling it and geting something later and more high powered like a '96+ xp or SPX - it will save you money. I loved my '95 SP for what it was, but didn't do anything more than an intake grate for the rough water, a splash guard and HydroTurf.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

ALright, it's your money
First, you can get everything you want from Bill O'Neal at www.watercraftmagic.com - he's the top Sea-Doo tuner and owns the shop.
Second, what you will want to do depends on what type of water you ride in and what style of riding you like. Do you ride on a flat lake, or big choppy water, or inthe ocean? Do you like top-speed or accelleration? Do you like to drag race or go around a course with lots of turns?
Almost every kind of od out there has pros and cons, as to what type of performance it will enchance or deter.
A splash guard and HydroTurf are great inexpensive addons to ANY ski and don't detern anything. A splash guard is a strip or material that hangs below the bond line in the front to keep allt he splash from coming over the front of the ski, so it doesn't hit your face. HydroTurf is a very comfy pad material that goes in your footwells and on the boarding platform on the pack, replacing the stock hard plastic, or nothing at all on some models. It REALLY improves comfort and foot traction for playing around. You can get both for just over $100.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

i got a friend in the Philippines with an SP too. What we did was install an intake manifold and dual 40 carbs from an XP 720 (i think you can use the dual 38's from and XP 650 also), installed a stock XP 650/720 pipe and muffler, hull extenders, and sponsons.
His ski runs great, a big improvement from the stock one. An advantage with the SP is that it shares the same hull as the 96 XP 800, I think!

The 1995 SPX model comes with dual carbs and a high performance pipe, rotary valve and muffler. Get these parts from someone, used, by checking the classified sections of forums like the ones here at the SBT site and others. You can place a WTB ad on any of these sites.

i though the 95sp came with the white 587 and the 95spx came with a 657x? i think the 95sp (as well as all other sp's) came with an aluminum prop instead of a stainless steel as well.
and what they are trying to tell you is that there isn't really a whole lot of (non-engine mods) that are really gonna increase performance any. the only thing you can do since you wanna leave the engine alone (which is a wise choice) is improve it's handling ability but it can also dampen its speed.
but if handling is what your after i would recommend a set of ride plate extensions to keep from bouncing at high speeds on smooth water. and if you wanna hook up really good in slight chop and sacrifice a little on the top end then an intake grate would be a good choice. and if you wanna turn on a dime and i mean enough g-force to starve the engine from fuel on a sharp left turn then you wanna get a set of aftermarket sponsons or if you wanna turn just a little better then what you can now, you can get a set of stock sponsons from an xp or spx, they have just a little more cup at the end for a little more grab. and along with what tech supp. said with the splash guard and pad set that pretty much covers it. unless you wanna get a stainless steel prop instead of the aluminum one you have, but they are kinda pricey. you could put a trim system on it, extended handlebars, nitros oxide kit, your possabilities are endless if your wallet is willing! It was along about then that SD quit using aluminum props on all of the models. Also, you cannot use a "pair" of extenders, as there is no provision in the hull on a 95 SP to accept them. You use the bolt-on center type rideplate extender.
The 95 sp has a 587 white engine. The SPX a 657x with dual carbs and high performance pipe.Bill O'Neal WCM

according to my sea doo manual all sp's till 96 came with an aluminum prop. i figured the 95sp having the same hull as the 95xp and could use the three piece extentions.
i did not know that the carbs, intake, rotary valve cover and accociated hardware off of a 657x (except for the exhaust) would fit a 587white motor either!
