thanks for replying bruce. to answer your questions my rpms i anticipate to be just over 7300. i havent ridden this ski yet but last year i had a96xp with same setup. with the exception of changing the base gasket to adjust squish(i now have a 99spx) that ski would operate right around 7300. i expect to reach at least the same on my spx with the squish set and different jets for topend. im using a 17-22 skat swirl with stock nozzle. i do not care about gaining top speed, i just dont want to lose any. yank my arms off acceleration is what i want. by the way have you ever filed the vane edges on a pump is it worth it if im changing the impeller

greenmeansgo.... the first thing you need to do is get the whole package put together and working well. Then install the Aat to tune the pump in. For the best low-end and midrange throttle response and performance you need to have at least and 87 mm exit nozzle and an 89 or 90 mm steering nozzle. At least that's what the aat works best with on your particular application. It will be arm yanking acceleration, with an 87 mm nozzle. And your top speed will remain the same or gain a little.
