  • Anything to check before I install engine

I just got done rebuilding my top end, (pistons, cylinder bore, rings, etc) and my carbs after a seizure last year.

Is there anything I can/need to check before I drop the engine back in and start connecting everything?

Is there a good way to check to make sure the oil pump is working correctly? I would like to stick with the pump as opposed to pre-mix. The seizure is suspected to be from a lean condition.

No you cannot fully test your oil pump at home.

Check all your hoses, cables, lines, electrical connections, motor mounts...everything you can get to while you can.
