HI,
I'm interested in adding a ferf. pipe like FP or Pro-Tec to my Yamaha Blaster II 760.
I was told that after installing the pipe there will develop a lean spot on OEM 44' Mikunis at 3/4 of throttle that can badly damage the engine.
The only solution is a carb swap attending that a rejet of the OEM carbs is not useful or the use of a mixture of 50/50 race gas and 92 regular.
I've read the installing instructions of their pipe on the FFP site and they reccomend to use 92 gas only a minor rejet of stock 44' and a rev limiter change.
To tell the truth I've read about seizure problems with Pro-tec pipe on a Blaster II on groupK site, they in fact use the stock pipe.
Do you think about this problem? If I mount a couple of 46 Novis or 47 Buckshots could I safely mount the pipe? Is there a cheaper way to solve the problem?
What other perf mods could I try?
Thank you Michele
