A very very tiny amount for each increment. Usually not the way to get more power. The heat becomes a factor when the clyinder walls get too thin.
If you are looking for some real power from boring, you need sleeves that have a larger outer diameter. You then bore the aluminum castings and install the bigger sleeves, then bore it to 89 mm and use Honda pistons. It is offically called "our big bore kit" and equals 920cc. Of course there is a ton of machine work to do and don't forget about porting it so that it will run decently.
