  • Aftermarket parts for my yamaha vx110

I just bought a new Yamaha vx110. It performs really well. I was wondering what kind of aftermarket parts I could by to add some more h/p?

Save your money, seriously. You will only gain a couple MPH with the mods for it, but it'll cost you hundreds, possibly more than a grand. There aren't and big bang for the bucks mods for that model. You should have gotten a more powerful ski from the start if you wanted more power. The vx110 is a detuned 160 (HO). It uses a gimped CDI to limit RPM down 2,000, and uses a central port injection rather than multiport. The whole point of it was to make a lower power, cheaper ski than the HO models. To make anything significant you would need to spend a couple grand replacing parts, but by then you would have spent more than the HO in the first place.Put some bolt on handling parts to improve it if you want to - a ride plate and intake grate may help depending on your water conditions.
