learn to repair jet ski

Hi.. I have just started riding jet ski. I baught a polaris Verage 2001..It is fun to ride.. I ride it in sea salt water..
any advise as to how to protect the engine from corrosion..
I want to learn repairing my jet ski. including overhauling the engine..
any body has any idea where can I get training or books teaching jet ski repair?

The first thing I would recommend is picking up a Service Manual from your dealer. It will have all the maint. and service requirements for your ski, and give you the specs and steps for rebuilding that you'll need.

I would recommend using an anti-salt agent while flushing, such as Salt-Away, and liberally rinsing the outside of the engine after each ride, with fresh water - then applying a protective light coat of WD-40.
