Sebastian Inlet State Park is located on the east coast of Florida approx. 45 minutes south east of Orlando, FL. Sebastian Inlet State Park is located off Highway A1A, between Melbourne and Vero Beach, on the Brevard/Indian River county line. The park is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Sebastian Inlet State Park covers over 600 acres and spans both sides of the inlet. There are many Recreational Opportunities available, such as boating, surfing, fishing, sunbathing and camping. WARNING Sebastian Inlet is TREACHEROUS so ride with care as conditions can change drastically in a short period of time. Take a wetsuit though as it’s chilly until June or so. Also, make arrangements to flush your ski, as this is saltwater.
Amenities and attractions include camping spaces with showers, restrooms, laundry and a dump stations. Sebastian Inlet offers some of the best fishing anywhere. Snook, Huge Redfish, Tarpon and other Game fish are caught year round. The Most Popular places to fish are the North and South Jetty, the Catwalks under the Bridge and the Dock on the south side. Surfers come from all over to ride the Huge Swells on the North Side, or Monster Hole southeast of the inlet. BTW, WE LOVED playing in the surf at the Monster Hole, but you have got to watch out for the surfers. SHARE and beware...there's a lot of sharks out there too.
Swimmers have the beach available plus a tidal pool on the north side. There are plenty of places to Snorkel as long as you use caution. There are concessions available on both sides of the inlet. The Beaches are Full-Service, Most with Lifeguards, Showers, Restrooms, Playground Equipment, Picnic Tables, Grills and other Features.
