550 stator questions??

Hello,
I have a 550sx reed motor 91 or 2 I think,
And I was wondering if a stator and flywheel and electrical box off of a 84, 550 piston port motor is the same? Or if it would work with some modification?
I not sure if the Timing and elec stuff is all the same or not!
Any help would be great!

they have different color wires but they will all swap out just fine! just be sure not to mix up the flywheels and stators cuz they have different timing marks on them. the reed motor will have a 21 deg stamp on the flywheel and the old piston port 550 will have one of many stamps so just use the same one unless you wanna advance it but thats another subject.
