  • Triple Keihin Linkage Setup help needed

I took the carburetors out of my '98 1100 STX to put in a primer kit. All went fine until I started reassembling them. I can't figure out how the linkage for the throttles go together. It appears that one side of one carburetor attaches, somehow, to a spring on the opposite side of the carburetor next to it. I have the factory manual and it doesn't show any detail about this particular parts and its not obvious to me. Does the metal plate simply slide in between two wraps of the spring or does it go in at the bottom and the spring keeps it in place. I need help fast because I'm supposed to take the skis to Las Vegas (400 miles from here) tomorrow morning. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

My local small-engine mechanic showed me how it goes together. The flat metal piece that links the two carbs has the spring pushing it into the adjusting screw. Obvious... once somebody showed me.
