i would like to know if there are any differences in the kawasaki 650 engines as far as port layout or any of that stuff. are the silver 650's better than the old black ones? any info on this motor would be great. i know the older ones had smaller carbs and remote fuel pumps but is that all? thanks.

do they use base gaskets like sea doo in defferent thicknesses to achieve correct compression? or just any 650 base gasket will do?

        THey only use one.

Sea-doo doesn't do it for compression, it's to alter port timing.
