    Keihin Carb kits

    Where is the best place to buy 3 CDK II 38mm carb kits? Should I stick with a keihin kit or are others fine?

    We have no issues with out units - $35 ea.

      Have your kits gone up in price? The catalog lists them as $35. Are these Keihin kits or aftermarket? I found original keihin kits online for $38.

          I ordered 3 sbt carb kits today. What doesn't come with the kits? Do I get the fuel pump and accelerator pump diaphrams?

          Also, apparently you guys don't sell primer kits for the keihins. Where is the best place to get a kit?

            Your fuel pump is external - that is a separate unit, dealer only. Same with the accellerator pumps - althought hey VERY rarely need to be rebuilt.Primers are not carb-specific, no we don't sell them. Try your local dealer.

              Ok, thanks. If I completely disassemble the carbs to cleanup and rebuild, will I take a chance on tearing up the pump and acc. pump parts? Are those diaphragms reuseable assuming they don't get torn up?

                You have no pumps to tear up, and the accel. pump does not get disassembled.

                  Isn't there a fuel pump on the front and back carburetors? I was concerned about the diaphragms during the cleanup process. Can I dip the carbs in carb cleaner without messing them up? Also, the paint is peeling on the carbs and I'd like to bead blast the bodies and repaint.

                    There is no reason to dip the carbs, just use a can of carb cleaner. You can brush off flaking paint and repaint if you wish.

                    Yes your model does have the internal pumps, sorry. Yes the kits have all the parts for them.
