Where to buy EMM unit

Hi
I am living at Israel (Middleeast) and I have friend which has Kawasaki 1100 STX-DI with fail EMM, do you know where can I buy new EMM? How match it will cost ? Our local Kawasaki agent ask for ~4500$, I have family at NY.

e-bay, any want/for sale ads for jetskis you can find $4500 is about what you are going to find for a new one, the dealer might help you look too.

If your'e going to replace your EMM, you need to have the K-DIAG software, comm cable, and laptop to do it. You need to upload all of the information from your original EMM, store it to a laptop (or regular computer), install the new EMM, and download the stored information to the new unit. It's pretty much a dealer only performed service, as I don't know too many private shops that have the proper equipment for this swap. Unless you get a used EMM from say a wrecked or salvaged ski, expect to pay over $1000 US for a new one, and Kawasaki generally wants the old unit back so it can be refurbished.
