i was wondering how hard it is to change the gas guage on 900 zxi. it recently stoped working

The gauge inside the gas tank - take out engine.

The gauge on the console- remove steering handlebars, cowl, and disconnect wire from circular junction box. Be careful removing cowl or you will scratch on handlebars, use care.

the gauge on the dash ,yes. the fuel sending unit is on top of the gas tank and there are floaters on a metal pole thing that go down into the tank. theres a cord that comes out of that and plugs into the electrical box or something.

It's an easy repair, just take your time. Long, thin arms help. I emptied, then rotated the tank and pulled it forward to gain access. The rest was a snap.
