2001 STx 1100di emm

I had a problem where my plugs would foul after 5 mnutes @ idle and the check engine light would come on, replaced the plugs, and fuel and same thing. I took it to the delaer and they say the diagnostic software says the emm is too hot? They are waiting on a new emm to test with from kawasaki? I saw in another post that thers is a recall on the onboard computer is that the emm?

The EMM may have overheated due to the lack of cooling water. If that's the case, you should inspect the cooling hoses for blockage. Do you have good water flow out of the pisser? Do you ride in salt water? It can also overheat if any of the drivers in the EMM which operate the fuel injection solenoids get too hot. The plugs always look overly rich/fouled. That's normal. As far as I know, there is no recall on the EMM. If someone has insider info., please post the recall number.
