  • Boring out cylinders

I need to bore the cylinders on my 97 Kawi 1100 zxi. What size can a bore the cylinders to if I use a .50mm and or a .10mm oversized piston from SBT? I would like to know so I can bore the cylinders prior to ordering the correct piston. Want to clean up they cylinders but do not want to overshoot the diameter. According to the manual the tollerence between the diameter of the piston and the diameter of the cylinder is .130-.140mm. Does SBT recommend the same tollerance with there pistons?

We don't have .1mm pistons. Do not do anything until you have the pistons in the hands of the machine shop so they can measure them correctly. 0.005" - 0.006" is good clearance. Do not mix pistons sizes or brands.
