550 no spark

I have been riding a Kawi 550 and I was out in rough water on day and it just died. I cheked area for water, carb, pistons no sign of water- I then checked to see if i was getting a spark and i was not. I do not no where to go from hear can any one help me out.
I also wanted to know how the best way to take apart the electrical box is ?
I am dying to ride again

I'll put my money on the stator being bad. Do you own a multi meter? If you do I can give you specs. The good news is if it is the stator, a company called WSM sells aftermarket coils for that ski and they are pretty inexpensive. You can also find tons of parts on ebay.

Yeah, the new stator is $400 from Kaw, but the aftermarket coils are like $35 each. This will fix you right up.

charging coil
green to black 1.2-1.8 ohms
green to green 2.4-3.6 ohms

exciter coil
red to black 112-168 ohms

pulser
red to gray 14.4-21.6 ohms
