Hey, has anyone out there had much experience rebuilding these CV Carbs on the Kawasaki 1200 STX-R.
I called the dealer and he said that they don't carry a rebuild kit for the 1200 STX-R CV carbs and neither does SBT. :emoticonr The dealers said you have to buy the individual components needed. He said that the diaphrams alone are $50 for 1 carb.
I'm not sure I even need to rebuild my carbs, just thought it would be prudent since I am putting a new SBT engine in after what appears to be a lean detonation on my #2 cylinder. Even if I don't "rebuild" the carbs I do feel I need to disassemble, inspect and clean them just for good measure. What parts should I NOT reuse when I reassemble them. Hopefully I won't need any diaphrams. I keep reading about clogged filters so that's what I'm primarily looking for in #2 carb. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer me.
