  • 89 650sx Carb rpm settings

Just finished rebuilding carbs and cleaning out fuel system. I wanted to do an initial adjustment of the carbs on the trailer.

What should the out of water RPM's be set at 2000 or higher?

The initial setting for the low speed adjustment is 1 turn out. Assuming it fires up should I leave it at this setting or should I adjust it and what should I be looking for. I would imagine if I lean it out it would start to die. Do I do that and then back it off a 1/4 turn (I'm pulling from my motorcycle memories). Is it better for it to be leaner at idle?

High speed is spec out here at 5/8T out.

Does the Keihin CDK have a high pop off (30 psi)?

    Thanks

Tech articles, stock carb settings. Idle at 3000 out of the pwater. Pop-off should be about 20.
