  • Zr400-B1 lighting problem Helllp!!!!

No dipped beam on my bike, changed grips, and between the grips was a wire, didn't seem to go anywhere except to the chrome grip mounting, removed that to put the new grips on and HEY PRESTO no more dipped beam...everything else works fine, pilot light and full beam are just fine, bulb is ok and everything else electrically is ok apart from the fuel guage......someone MUST know what is going on here!!! HELLLLLLLLP!!! :emoticonc :emoticond

    Re: Zr400-B1 lighting problem Helllp!!!!

Apologies for being soooo bloody dumb!!

    1. Wires between grips = heated grips...durrrr (not connected, me or the bike)

    2. Look for the simplest solution first = Blown dipped beam filament

Having replaced the really naff stock indicators it became a simple tracing job

i.e. " Did I touch the bulb during the job?...Answer YES
"Am I a clumsy OAF?"....Answer yet again YES!
"Is it likely that I blew the bulb or would it have blown being on a 21
year old bike probably from day one?".....YEEEEES!

Thinking now of changing my name to "Mr. Can'tseethebleedingobvious"

But thanks for looking in anyway, all 13 of you who looked in even though you didn't post....at least someone looked and were probably waiting for me to work it out for my own stupid self....... :emoticonn
