Kawasaki 650 X2 cooling water

Can sombody explain how the water is pumped through the motor.
Is there a pump like an outboard or does the water get pushed though by the jet?
Are there any serviceable items similar to a outboard (impeller) etc?

Hey John,

If you look underneath the ski you will see after the impeller what looks to be a small jet. It looks like water should be coming out but due to the water flow it is actually coming in. That line will come in to the exhaust manifold and cool the exhaust along with the heads. Some water will come out of the "pisser" on the side of the ski and the rest will come out of a nozzle in the jet part of your ski. There is a good video on this website about cooling, check it out.
