for the record i just purchased a 1996 zxi 1100 from an ebay member.for starters the engine was SHOT and already torn down.I purchased a new SBT replacement,and put everything back together to the best of my ability.there is one black wire with red bands around it at the back that i have no idea where it goes to.If i connect it to the positive battery terminal,the temp light comes on.as for the gauges,he told me upon purchaseing the ski that the gauges havnt worked since he has owned it.no gas gauge,no tach,no lights no speedo.the lights dont evan cycle when you switch it on.any help would make my day.where do start,who do i cuss.thanks you guys,i know somebody will come through.
