New Plug wires - How?

I have a 86 Kawasaki X2 and want to replace the plug wires. Is this something simple where I could go to the local autoparts store and ask for some ignition grade wires, or will the wires need to be made for a 86 X2?

Also, is installation fairly simple? If so, please let me know.
