I'm trying to figure out how to replace the seal on the shaft that goes through the bulkhead. Do I have to pull the engine? Do I have to pull the jet? Any advice will be appreciated. This is on an 1100 STX.
I had the identical problem recently and took to shop. They did not have to pull the engine, only the pump. Total cost to repair, an amazing $130. Didn't know i could get anything done for that price which included new plugs as well.
