  • Ulra 130 D.i. Spark?

I have a 2001 Ultra 130 D.I. and found that it is a very weak spark at the plug. For example, if I take the plug out of cylinder and leave it attached to wire, you can see a VERY weak spark in the plug gap. BUT... and I know this isn't the best way to check but either way it is a negative result, if I hold the wire and crank I do not get zapped, also when the test light is connected it doesn't light up.

So There is spark but it appears to be weak, tried new battery, no change. Where do I go next?....ANY help is greatly appreciated.

Use a multi. meeter to test the coils. You will need the service manual to tell you the proper output. Also as with any ski look at all of your grounds. I know that the test procedures are the same for my STX-di but I am not at home right now to give you any good help. I will check back in a day or two when I get home.

Thanx for a starting point to check. What sends a signal to the coils? Any idea?
