2002 Ultra 150 won't start, loud backfire.....I mean really loud. I just purchased a new motor from sbt and got it all back together and it wont start. A friend suggested a shop, so i took it. They said it might be the ignitor, they tried a new one and still no start and loud backfire, they went through the carbs and still the same. I let them pull the motor to check the woodruff key on the crankshaft and it was replaced and put back together and still the same. I took the motor back out and sent it back to sbt, the mechanics said it must be the crankshaft or some other internal problem. they couldnt find anything wrong with it. I dont know what to do next any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I was wondering if the stator assembly has anything to do with timing? if so thats like the only thing left that it could be?????????

The magneto cup is probably mistimed. The mitsubishi symbol is to be aligned with the keyway.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
