    lots of smoke

    I have a 2001 Kawasaki 1100 zxi it has not been run for over a year new gas was put in and new oil... when i started it a real lot of smoke come's out and does not stop... a lot of oil seems to be coming out the tail pipe...
    (some hoses were taken off and may be in the wrong place? or could the oil pump be stuck open?) I was thinking about by-passing the oil pump and putting mix gas in to see if the smoke stops....need some help... thanks randy...

    What kind of oil are you using? Try a pure synthetic oil ( NOT WALMART OIL) and put a new set of plugs in and see how it runs. Your better oils tend to smoke less and foul out plugs less.
