So I bought a used ski (2004 STX-R)and burnt a hole in the rearmost piston... twice. I fugure it's running lean since it's getting good waterflow. I've cleaned out the carbs, and when I went to clean them out again, I noticed that the carb for the piston I burnt had a part missing.
It's the washer underneath the main jet needle. Could this cause the engine to run lean enough to fry a piston? Here's a link to the pic.
http://www.powersedge.com/pages/part...d/default.aspx It's 92200-3773 as the part number under carb parts. Anyone who's had the carb apart for cleaning before should have seen this part. Any thoughts? I'd hate to have yet another holy piston. Thanks
