Hi all,
I am trying to figure out how to remove old steering cable and install new one in a 1994 sx750 stand-up kawasaki. I figured out that the cable runs down the pole through a rubber bellows that is tighter the @#it. It then runs under gas tank and foam, to the back of craft through a nut that takes a 1 1/16 socket (I made one about 12" long).
So I unmounted the pole and took off the nut. I removed the cable at each end, removed the linkage and jam nuts. Also have removed the retainer in the pole that holds cable housing from moving. Can the bellows be removed, or do you just have to fight with it? Do I have to remove gas tank and foam also. I hope someone can help, cause this seams like too much work. Thanks pwcdaddy.
