  • ultra 150 carbs

my 99 ultra 150 is pumping gas though the "in" line and then right out through the "out" line without anything going into the manifold. this kawi is really confusing this sea doo man. there is an electrical connection to the carbs. should I just try to clean these out although I have no idea how or could it be electrical?

Thats just the tps sensor, it should not have anything to do with your fuel problem. Clean the carbs and see how that works.

Thanks I saw that when I disassembled them . I assume that if the gas went through the rail ( it must be going through the case pump diaphragm in order for gas to come out the "out" line thus I figured to start at the rail?) that each carb must be bad. I had one heck of a time taking them apart. I actually had to take a hacksaw and cut a slot in the screw head for the impact driver after the phillips stripped!! Each one seemed like the needle and seat were shut. I cleaned each jet and made sure the needle let gas in. On the other side, not much to clean there, is there? I will try to re-assemble tomorrow night as I have seven others in the yard and have a regular day job. Can you think of anything that I overlooked??

Sounds like those carbs maybe shot, see how you do after a good cleaning.

have gas going through the case pump, into the rail, through the seat, the jet case sits full of gas, I can spray through the jets but the gas will not go to the throat while I am cranking on any cylinder. I hate to admit but I do not understand the vacuum valve side of the operation, but it must be my problem. I do not know how to take apart nor what to clean, but I must try. Any suggestions?

Take them apart blow air through all the passages and re-build them with new gaskets and seals, make sure the gas lines are routed properly and give it a shot see if it runs better.

started working in 1990 on a stand up Kawasaki, been steady ever since, but this thing has humbled me. I've blown everything out, all seems right in the world, have my lines on correctly, but when I go to crank the motor, no gas appears in the throat!?!!?runs on gas I push from the hose to the top of the carbs (via a pump hooked into supply line) but carbs will not process anything. gas just comes out the overflow rail. most of my stuff is Sea Doo, but I have done a fair share of Polaris, Tigershark, Yamaha, Kawasaki and even Wet Jet. this is a monster, will advise owner to sell quickly IF I ever figure it out!!!!

                Re: ultra 150 carbs

took an old hose, hooked it up to overflow rail, ran the carbs by directing the flow into their tops alternately and then they stayed running on their own???!!! started three more times last night and six more times today all the old standard way and it seems cured. your guess is as good as mine.
