Js 300 stand up won't go at full throttle?

I have a Js 300 that runs great in the water up to 3/4 throttle. If you floor it it just turns high rpm's and won't plain out. I know the 300s are under powered but could the impeller be worn out or do all 300s do this? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes impeller or wear ring can cause the issue; check the clearance in the pump, if you have more than 2 business cards worth of gap is out of spec.
