Kawasaki 250 ultra oil leak

My friend brought out is "new to him" 2008 kawasaki. Ultra 250 for the first time today. He was getting an oil pressure light, so I checked the oil. It was barely on the dip stick and the hull had oil in the bottom. Any suggestions on where to look for the leak first?

We were able to find oil leaking from the box going into the super charger. There is a open hose connection on the bottom of it that drips oil at moderate RPMs. Is there supposed to be a return line? One article I read suggested it could be bad rings :O
