  • ZXI trouble

Hey all~ Does anyone know if there is suppose to be a key on the flywheel on the 900ZXI? I am worried that I didn't put a key in and need to know some details about it. Does SBT send the engine with the key there already. Will any damage be done if I don't pull the engine back out of the ski and pull the flywheel to put the key on. Although I don't have a key either! Any suggestions would be welcomed!

    Thanks

Yes all flywheels use a key to keep the flywheel aligned on the crank nose. If you have not started the engine yet, I highly recommend you double check before trying. If you have been running it, you put the key in - if you try to start it without a key the flywheel will spin and throw off your timing.

No we do not ship the engines with a key in place, although we are starting to ship free keys with each engine purchase, taped to the crank.
