1997 polaris sounds like rev limiter or suckiing air

new motor sounds like its hiting rev limiter on and out of water or it is sucking air. can onkly go half throtle and will barlly plane out motor sounds good getting spark and fuel to all cylinders it could be the wear ring but it wasnt doing this before. can anyone help. i also got rid of the oil tank and am mixing my own oil what is the ratio i should use

Yep you have sme type of pump problem you need to lok at the tech articles on jet pump inspection. It also could be a bad driveshaft seal letting air into the pump area.

nope actually it was a fuse on the terminal panel and it was causing the rev limiter to hit at 1600 rpm
