  • 96 sl780 carbon deposits on piston crown

I'm putting this ski back together. It was rebuilt about 3 years ago and ridden a few times, has been sitting up for about 2 years. I am about to buy it and have sketchy details. Do these carbon deposits look excessive? Would a rich condition cause this? How should I clean them before re-assembly? How can I tell if SBT rebuilt it? Any replies are appreciated.

They look normal. If it were rich you wouldn't see hardly any deposits, it would be washed (a head gasket leak does that too). The underside of the pistons and the rods say SBT for ID.

Thanks, should I clean them up or leave them as they are. Do you need an electrical box pic for this model?
