  • Pop off pressure (carbs)

I have 3 sbt kits. If the springs are fine, can I use the old one and not check the pop off pressure? Not sure if I can get a guage locally, and want to use it this weekend.... Also, I heard it's typically the diaphragm that goes bad. Mine looked fine, so I'm going to do the total rebuild. Runs great 80-100% throttle, sputters (small miss) otherwise. Any thoughts?

I rebuilt and stuck with stock springs with no problem, can't speak for everyone. You'll probably find dirt in the carb filter for sputter, or something in the passageways like varnish. Good Luck !
