Put away properly last fall, took out to use monday started-ran fine on stand. Put in lake wont rev over 3200 +/-. idles fine runs up to 1/4 throttle normal but anything past that just maintains slow speed and no rpm,s. Adding a little or lot of choke does nothing except eventually floods out. Checked compression- 130-140psi across the board. Pulled carbs cleaned and inspected. Look perfect, Checked fuel flow from tank no restrictions, checked tank vent-o.k. No corrosion, no varnish, no bad fuel. checked cooling system no restrictions, thermostat opens normaly, exhaust feels cool after running, cylinders and heads hot but seem a normal temp. What could have changed from sitting for a few months? Worked fine when put away. Impeller is pretty rough but worked last year. Any help would be great. Thanks David

Most Polaris's limit motor speed if it thinks the machine is low on fuel. It's called 'limp home mode'. Sounds like this is what you are dealing with. If the float inside the fuel level sending unit has gotten saturated and "sunk" then the machine thinks it is low on fuel and will not run much past the point where you are now. If the machine has a gas meter and it shows fuel level is OK, then this is not the problem. There are other situations where the ski limits itself but I'm not certain what they are (low oil? over heated?).
