Old and New 700 engine compatibility

I have a 97 Hurricane with a bad top end. I am wondering as to the compatibility of a newer engine in a 700 virage. The pistons are the same size, but have different part numbers. The virage has a bad crank, but I was wondering if I could use the pistons and cylinders. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Guess I could have answered my own question if I had actually looked at the parts list on this site. :o I used the Polaris Parts Smart program at work and it was fairly vague about the difference. Thanks for the views though.
