  • SL780 rpm limiter solution

OK people here,s the proper fix if your polaris is limiting rpm to 4000 or less. This site is full of guesses with little real helpful info. Polaris uses a limiter to prevent engine damage if the computer reads a problem with the fuel, oil, temp, sensors.
You need to bypass the computer to get the pwc to run. To do this remove the 6 hex head bolts on the black comouter box located on top of the battery. In the center of that mess of wires is a single gray wire on a tab terminal. Pull that wire off the tab and leave it laying there. Reaasmble the box and go. You have a bad sensor someplace but this will allow to use the pwc until you feel like troubleshooting the sensors to see which one is bad.

If you do this you might want to watch your when you jumping and pump comes out of the water. I believe you will no longer have a rev limiter and could possibly over rev.
