  • Burn down.

I just bought a 93 750 SL, with a Ocean Pro Head. First time out on the lake, about 10 min into my ride, burned a hole in the piston (Mag side). I've been doing some reading on the forums and hearing that these machines have a weak fuel pump and this could be the problem. I also read somewhere that the Ocean Pro head needs an extra head gasket, is this true? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Burn down.

The heads I can't help you with, but the fuel pump arrangement (in series) was the problem. The MAG ended up starved - frying the piston. You need a Hi-vol dual, triple, or an add on pump from SBT. All will require some fuel line plumbing changes.
    WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

If I may add, you'll need a piston too (giggle) Ok, you can slap me now. Seriously, sorry to hear man, if we can help, just ask away!!
