  • polaris 1200 di wont start

i have a 1200di that was sunk over the weekend. i am trying to get it started but having no luck. if i pour gas down the throttle body, it will run for a few seconds, but its not getting fuel on its own. what is the valve stem fitting for in the fuel line?

    To measure fuel pressure.

You might as well stop now and pull the engine - if it's been sitting now for 3+ days, the engine is toast. If you get it fired now, you are most likely just gong to crack a hole inthe cases when it lets go.

actually, when i took the plugs out and turned the ski over, there wasnt any water in the engine. the ski will run if i manually give it fuel. i am assuming there is an electrical fuel pump on these. and maybe when the water filled the engine compartment, it blew a fuse. any help would be appreciated.

OK then it didn't 'sink', you simply got some water in the hull - big difference.

Check all the fuses and boxes for traces of water - the fuel pump is in the fuel tank.
