  • 2001 Polaris Virage TX no start just clicking

I bought two polaris virage tx about a week ago, and I am getting ready to use them tomorrow.... When I bought them the guy started up both of them and ran them for no longer then 15 seconds like the manual says, they both started fine. We towed them home and today I go out just to make sure they start before we leave and all it does is click. I took the seats off and I can hear it clicking the solonoid. The voltage reads 11 to 12 on the dash, and I hooked up battery charges to them, tried to start it with it on 2amp, 10amp and 60amp, only leaving it on 60 shortly. Still just clicking..... I have had them both charging for about 4-5 hours and still just clicking.... Any Ideas on how to fix it??? ANY help would be GREATLY appriciated. I know a little about cars and how to work on them, but NOTHING about jetskis or where anything is. Please help me!!!! Thanks!

EDIT: I have also reset the circuit breaker like it says in the manual, by pushing those two buttons, i dont know if it did anything but i tried it, I have also played with the key a lot but that does nothing also. I read in the forums that they key only controls spark anyways, not the engine turning over. Also.... is anything supposed to happen when you put the key on? a beep or a light or anything? Thanks

Any other tips would also be appriciated for this newbie that knows NOTHING about what he just bought, kinda a dumbass but I am definetly going to study as much as I can before next trip....even bought a service manual, although it hasn't been delivered yet. Thanks again guys.....

Jump acrost the starter relay "the thing that is clicking" large post with a big screrwdriver and see if the strater spins. If it does then the relay needs to be replaced. If not then it could be a bad connection to the ground cable on the engine or battery, a bad conection to the positive wire at the relay or battery, A bad connection on the starter wire on the relay or the starter, or a bad starter itself. You will have to remove the starter and bench test it if all other items are checked first.
