what rpm and speed does your sl750 run at
mine will run 5200rpm and about 40 or so just guessing

'95 SL750 49 mph @ ~6000 rpms, never had a chance to run on really flat water though. -

my 94 spins at 6150rpm and 52 on the dremo. never gps'd it, but it should top out just under 50.Comment

speedo broken, but 6150-6200 rpm's. Once mine only did 5200 rpm's, and my center carb needed rebuilt. You better check the plugs, see if one doesn't look fine. Mine was kinda blue-oily (fresh oil, not black) and that was my sign. If you run that too long with a lean carb, POP goes the piston.
Also, have you unhooked the fuel shut-off valve next to the pump? Mine was bad. Also, have you added on the fuel pump or changed to higher performance? If not, the front cylinder won't get enough gas, again, lean.
And one more side note, you might want to go pre-mix if you haven't already, or maybe you've bought a new oil injector pump.Comment
