need some help

i have a 94 polaris sl 650. it looks like the shaft went crazy and knocked a hole in the piece were the shaft goes out. what it did just before we heard the boom was it just revved and didnt move. now i am trying to get the shaft out but it is hard. i have all the back pump pieces off but i cant get the shaft out. any help
