  • polaris sl 750 idles high wont turn off

    My polaris 750 idles high and wont turn off, I pull off the plug wires and it keeps running!!!!!!!!!!!! then it will run normal but bogg down at throttle, Please help, I checked plugs and the magneto side seems to always have some water on it,any ideas? I am losing my mind and im going to sink it

    You have an airleak, probably at your case. You need to pull the engine and tear it down - most likely you will see overheat and water damage.

      Ok , tore it down on that cylinder so far and found a crack by the base,and broken base gasket,could this be the air leak? could base gasket suck air?

          I guess its pretty common? Just one more thing before i try to fix this mess is the cylinder with the crack the only one that took on water and the crank on that side or does the whole motor now have water in it?

            No it's not common. It depends on how much water you had, if things are completely gone or not. Bottom line though, you need a complete rebuild/new motor. It would be extremely unlikely you can just fine hone the one cylinder and put the same size piston back in.
