    Re: odd piston diameters

You can not mix piston sizes or brand, sit throws the crank out of balance.

        Re: odd piston diameters

We do but you can't mix and match rings and pistons. If you have OEM pistons you must use OEM rings.

I have no idea. The brand is stamped on the underside.

              Re: odd piston diameters

The only thing I see on the underside is on the skirt it says ART

I find it hard to believe that the piston brand and rings have to match.

              Thanks

Those are OEM pistons. Believe me or not, I really don't care.

                  Re: odd piston diameters

Sorry if I didnt word that correctly. I do appreciate your help and time. I am new to jet ski overhaul but have done my share of auto rebuilds. I have A SBT piston off a blown engine and ive measured and compared the rings on it and the OEM and I cannot tell the difference. Is it in the materials that the are made of that is the difference? Im just needing to make sure before I order the stuff i need they are correct. And I did not see where they offered just the rings by them self on the web site just the kits with pistons.

                  Thanks Again

                    Re: odd piston diameters

Correct, I don't have just the ring kits on the store (on my list of things to do).

#1, yes materials and dimensions can be different.

#2 we don't do stock size, so the point is moot.

Well inform your sales department because I just called and talked to a lady in sales that said that you do stock JUST THE RING KITS and your right just .5mill and larger.

Sorry I happend to catch you in a pissy mood. I thought this was tech support. You should be more specific on why things will and wont work. And I hope get a different member next time because I really do think you have A great site.
